I started using Lift as soon as a buddy told me about it. I was largely turned on by the iPhone app because I already knew that our habits / rituals every single day really make us who we are. Lift allows me to put in any habit i want to do on a daily basis, lets me check in each day and also gives me a push notification to tell me how good I’ve been doing. This may sound a bit robotic, but it’s really not. This application has really changed my life. Here’s a look at what my habits are:
I could talk about a lot of things on that list but by far the one that has had the most impact is a reminder to call my Mom and Dad. For a while i was too busy to remember small, yet extremely important, things like this. Lift has made it so it’s right next to every important habit i do on a daily basis.
Don’t Overwhelm Yourself
I don’t put everything on Lift. For example, i don’t put “eat healthy” because that is a given. You are going to have to eat no matter what every day. I put things on here that I don’t have to do, but that if i keep doing them on a daily basis will have a powerful impact on my life. I don’t have to work out, work, call my mom / dad, read, or be social. But Lift has pushed my in the right direction and serves as a constant reminder that these habits are important to my end goals.

It was scorching fucking hot in Vegas out in front of our office when me and my business partner Adam decided… wow STbands is not giving our customers the best experience. Two different groups coming to one confused site. We decided enough is enough. The site had to be split in two. Before we even knew the names, we new that one site needed to focus on selling custom sweatbands, custom silicone wristbands and other custom promotional products, swag and giveaways. The other site needed to cater to people looking for sweat bands and other unique sports accessories. This was the make up of our old STbands site.
These two sites mark a milestone for my company. Because the two websites are only half the story. We made a substantial investment in a new back-end that will allow our customers / team to have an even better experience.
Also in other SerTop news, we had our busiest month ever last month. As a result, we decided this month to take our whole team to Disneyland – each person gets to bring someone else and everything including the hotel, transportation and meals is paid for by us. We are extremely proud of how hard our team has worked.
I’ll let you know when I really have kids. Which will be soon.
It would be great if you could travel anywhere in the world cheap without worrying about it much. You know, just know someone that lives in Australia to crash on their couch for the weekend. It would also be great if it was easy to rent out properties (and couches) you own to gain extra income. Hmm, that was the attitude in the early 90’s. Now, we have the internet, and more specifically we have Airbnb. What is Airbnb? See the video below to be amazed. Also, checkout LoftyLuggage.com for great bag recommendations for your next trip.
I’m just about done with “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand, which I will be posting a review of soon. It has led me to research various type of architecture in my spare time. I stumbled across a guy named Frank Gehry. It my be worth noting when you look at the buildings below and next time you walk in one the simple fact that architecture is the only art form you can walk inside of. Gehry’s creative buildings speak for themselves:

Watch this all the way through.
Don’t stop half way and turn it off.
This will resonate with some of you. Some of you will find it crazy.

One Saturday my roommate Adam was trying to talk me into going on the show “Let’s Make A Deal”, which is hosted by Wayne Brady. I didn’t want to go mostly because we had to dress up in a costume and i had no ideas. Adam created a stoplight basically within a few hours and some trips to Wal-Mart. Pretty amazing and it also got him $900. Click the picture below to view the video…
A few weeks after this Adam ended up talking me into going on Let’s Make A Deal. I wasn’t called on but check out the cool picture below. I’m am the guy with the red and white headband on and Italy shirt.
On the morning of March 30th (my birthday) I got up just like any other Tuesday. It was a rough start to the day. I was working on some marketing stuff and expecting a package from UPS. At around noon I heard a few UPS like knocks on the door, only it was not a package, it was my friends Derrick and Andy from 2000 miles away. They weren’t suppose to arrive for two more days. I had been played, badly. It was definitely the best birthday in a few years, no doubt. I finished up work, packed up, and that is where the video below picks up. I tried to get as much footage as possible. I’m by no means a video editing expert. I threw this together in a day and tried to get as creative as possible. I’ve only done a video like this once before. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
